Decision Center

The Decision Center shows saved decisions, unresolved alerts, and alert history. Where Work order review is available, an authorized operator can review the evidence, save a draft, and separately confirm creation of a maintenance work order. Creating a work order does not mark the maintenance as performed.

Prerequisites and inputs

Access requires permission to view Semiconductor Operations for the current tenant. The screen reads saved decision records and the tenant's alert and work-order links; it does not collect new measurements or validate their quality. Open the equipment and alert details when a measurement or source timestamp needs verification.

Review a decision

  1. Open Decision Center and choose All or Pending.
  2. Expand a record to inspect its description, saved recommendation, and current status.
  3. Use Refresh to load the latest records.

A saved recommendation is information for review, not an approved maintenance instruction. Confirm the affected equipment, measurements, and operating conditions before acting.

Review alerts and work orders

The Recent Alerts table shows unresolved alerts. Check the observation timestamp; an unresolved alert may concern an earlier operating period. Suggested action is shown only when it was saved with the alert; an empty value does not mean that no action is needed. A linked work order is displayed when one exists.

The History table shows alerts from the last seven days and the number of linked work orders. Expand the record to review its original description. Use the linked work-order number to continue the maintenance workflow.

Review and create a work order

  1. Open Work order review for an unresolved alert. Check the equipment, observation time, detection method, and recorded evidence.
  2. Read the evidence limitations. A stored alert is not a complete sampling window. Missing samples cannot establish the cause of a fault or the effectiveness of a repair.
  3. Select the available reference procedure and open it to check its version, content, and applicability. A document marked Draft remains a reference draft, not an approved operating procedure.
  4. Enter a title, description, and priority. Acknowledge the evidence limitations, then review the saved draft. This step does not create a work order.
  5. Check the draft and explicitly confirm work-order creation. Creation requires the existing Semiconductor Operations edit and work-order create/view permissions.
  6. Open the returned work-order number. Refresh the review to read its current status; continue assignment, execution, and completion in the work-order workflow.

If the evidence or procedure version changes, review the updated information before confirming again. If a request is interrupted, reopen the saved decision and check for an existing work order before starting another draft. A successful confirmation can be repeated without creating another work order for that same decision.

Expected result and validation

The result is a review of the saved record, alert status, and any existing work-order link. Check that the alert concerns the intended equipment, that its timestamp falls within the operating period under review, and that a displayed work-order number opens the expected authorized record. A missing link or suggested action remains missing; it is not a successful response or a completed action.

Current limits

  • Work-order confirmation does not approve an SOP, execute a repair, control equipment, or resolve an alert.
  • The available procedure list is checked against the configured applicability and document version. An operator must still verify its content and approval status. If no procedure is available, the review cannot proceed to a draft.
  • An empty decision list means no saved records were returned; it is not evidence that the work-order workflow has already been demonstrated.
  • A recorded recommendation is not a substitute for measured evidence or an operator's review.

If records or alerts fail to load, refresh once and contact an administrator if the error persists. Do not interpret an empty table during a loading error as an absence of alerts.

Continue With AI Agent

When Ask AI is available in an alert review, it opens a new conversation with the equipment reference and an editable question identifying that alert. Check the question and send it manually. Opening the conversation does not send a message or create a work order. This entry is not shown when viewing a saved work-order draft.

The assistant can request the stored alert evidence and applicable procedure-version references when that capability is available. Check the observation time, source limitations and procedure versions in the answer. Procedure references do not include the document text or prove approval; a stored alert is not a raw sampling window. If the evidence cannot be retrieved, return to the alert review rather than treating an unsupported answer as a diagnosis.

On the equipment-health page, select the equipment and choose Ask AI to open a new conversation. Where equipment context is enabled, the selected equipment is attached to the conversation. Enter a question and send it explicitly; opening the assistant does not start an analysis or create a work order. Other Semiconductor Operations pages open a general conversation unless they provide an equipment selection.

Check the equipment and period before using an answer. The equipment reference does not automatically attach the selected alert, a particular SOP version, or raw samples. Ask for the available sources and their observation times; missing sources are not a diagnosis. Create and confirm work orders through the review form described above.

If the entry is disabled while equipment data is loading, wait for the page to finish loading. Equipment-scoped handoff also requires the deployment to support equipment context. Contact the administrator if it remains unavailable; do not assume another equipment was selected.
